Ecotourism in the Bay
The Bay of Fundy is one on New Brunswick’s most important natural resources. Tourists from around the world travel each year to communities along the coast to experience the wonders it holds. Some will walk the beaches and explore the coasts. Others will want to go out on the waters, to see whale or seals, or just to float among the islands. Most will stop in the shops along the way, hoping to find that right item that will remind them of their visit.
Tourism and nature conservation go hand-in-hand. If we protect the natural environment, then tourism operators will benefit. Tourism done in a responsible manner will, in turn, help protect the natural environment. Protecting the Bay of Fundy is important to us all, and that is why we would like to introduce you to some of the ecotourism businesses that make the Bay their home.
