Canadian Parks and Wilderness Society Announces Winner of Contest for Canoe Trip for 2 on Restigouch

(Fredericton, New Brunswick) - The Canadian Parks and Wilderness Society (CPAWS) is happy to announce that Jamieson Dyer of Peterborough, Ontario has won the contest for a two-day “Sleeping Under the Stars” canoe trip for two on the Restigouche River. The canoe trip, which includes the first night’s stay at Chalet Restigouche, was generously donated by Arpin Canoe Restigouche.

Roberta Clowater, Executive Director of CPAWS New Brunswick, says, “The contest is part of our campaign to help protect Restigouche River wilderness areas. We were excited by the hundreds of people who entered the contest at our CPAWS booth at the Green Living Show in Toronto, and online. It was especially inspiring to meet so many people from other parts of Canada who have been there and love the Restigouche, or have always wanted to visit.  The winner, Jamieson Dyer, is over the moon to have won this great trip, and can’t wait to paddle on the iconic Restigouche River.”

CPAWS expresses its deep appreciation to Arpin Canoe Restigouche for donating this wild river excursion.
